xebnax talk

Sometimes it may seem hard to understand to those who don't know xebnaxian, but really it's a very easy language.  I have included some helpful words and phrases here!  Really xebnaxian is a language that is given meaning by the feeling behind the words, rather than the words themselves.  Nonetheless there are some words that are commonly used, that will help you to understand more.

puutaakha - this means something like 'there it is' or 'there you are'.  Because of this, it's often used as a welcome.  You can say someone's named and then 'puutaakha!' as a way of greeting them.  Puutaakha in pmd may be named for this word, or this word may have been put in use because of her.  Who knows?  Perhaps not even puutaakha!

poop - to poop on something is to bring it down, really.  If you say 'don't poop on my parade', that means 'please don't discourage me'.  'Poop on your head!' is a way of saying 'What you are saying/doing is nonsense!'  Sometimes the best advice from one xebnaxian to another is 'don't poop on your own head', which means 'don't get yourself down.'

-chan - the suffix 'chan' signifies close friendship or familiarity, just like in Earth-Japanese.  As such, since xebnaxians are so affectionate, almost everyone can be considered their name shortened, plus 'chan'.

blatniz - blatniz is a difficult-to-translate term, but the most common consistent usage of blatniz is in the practice of giving someone wiener blatniz.  Wiener blatniz is a vaguely tube-shaped cheese and onions dish with bread, and it is actually well-liked by many; however, to give someone wiener blatniz is to express disapproval, and perhaps the appetizing dish is to reassure them that you don't hold it against them in any case.

potato - a typical response to the question 'how are you?' is to say 'I am POTATO!'  This simply means that you are doing well, because potatoes are strong, sturdy, and versatile.  To say that you are potato is to imply that you feel the strength and versatility that is embodied in the potato.

blorfontas - a nice title to give to someone, this typically follows right after their name, such as 'sagechan blorfontas' would be a very nice way to address sagechan!
