Unable to make lasting friends due to moving around so much, it was a kind of comfort to have them in dreams and fantasies, in adventures of other worlds. Because of this, when he discovered comic books and their over-the-top heroes and clashes, he was immediately interested. Later in life, after working with various professionals the world over, from Europe to Japan and the United States as well, hushicho teamed up with a prominent website to bring the offerings of his first solo comic efforts to the public. Using the international forum of the internet, he quickly embraced an audience that may never have been possible before the advent of the world wide web. After the publication of an artbook and novel, as well as a small selection of experimental comics, hushicho began to consider doing more with his work and stretching into different territory than he had previously tread. 2007 saw the arrival of the popular Incubus Tales, a gay-friendly, mature comic revolving around the adventures of Dhiar, a gay demon shopkeeper. Filled with hilarious commentary and satire, a combination between wit and sensuality evoking the heyday of burlesque, Incubus Tales immediately found its audience. When its original host vanished, it found a new host and cultivated an even broader readership, soon even seeing release as a book of collected comics. Pandemonium Renaissance, an artistic experiment in unconventional sequential art storytelling, followed in 2008. This story's narrative followed the adventures of demon lords and ladies as they attempted to right the bad PR that unfairly caused their home's tourist trade to suffer, but it did so in a relaxing, leisurely-paced way, with soothing art nouveau inspired visuals and poetic dialogue. Banding together with fellow creator Tsutsumi, hushicho co-founded the collaborative studio Cornucopia Studios in 2008. The studio quickly began work on the joint effort The Medium Men, which was completed in 2009, combining hushicho's writing with Tsutsumi's art and story development. Later in 2009, after over a year of planning and development, the role-playing game Roaring Twilight saw publication in the form of a core sourcebook and immediately found great reception with an appreciative audience. The Roaring Twenties, a period of great interest for hushicho, were combined with supernatural fantasy, to create an exciting and limitless setting. Unlike some creators, he has enjoyed his greatest successes online and due to the online community, and so he regularly accepts online work and embraces online fans. hushicho continues to work hard at all of his projects, and there are plenty in the works for the future. | New!![]() Official Incubus Tales 2010 Calendar ![]() Incubus Tales vol 2 ![]() Roaring Twilight |
